This policy explains what data Iqraa.tech collects, why, who else receives it, and what control you have over it. It covers the site itself and the third-party services used to run it, including Google Analytics and Google Reader Revenue Manager.

1. Who is responsible for your data
Iqraa.tech is operated by Amar Tinawi, an individual publisher based in the United Arab Emirates, acting as the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. The short version
- You can read every public article on this site without giving us anything.
- We use Google Analytics to understand which articles are read. It sets cookies and processes your IP address.
- If you contact us, we receive what you type in the form and your email address.
- If you contribute, subscribe or register through Google Reader Revenue Manager, Google handles the payment and shares limited account information with us. We never see your card details.
- We do not sell your personal data. We do not run advertising networks on this site.
- Google and Cloudflare, as providers we depend on, process data on their own terms as well as ours.
3. Data you give us directly
3.1 Contact form
The contact form collects your name, email address, a subject line and an optional message. This is sent to the site operator’s email inbox so that we can reply. We keep contact emails for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference, and we do not use them for marketing.
3.2 Newsletter and registration
Where a newsletter or reader registration is offered through Google Reader Revenue Manager, signing up shares your email address and Google Account identifier with us so that we can send what you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email.
3.3 Quizzes and interactive features
Where an interactive quiz or lab is offered, your answers may be stored to display your result. These are learning aids and results are not used to profile you or shared with anyone.
4. Data collected automatically
When you visit the site, the following is processed automatically:
- Your IP address, used to route the request, to protect the site against abuse, and by our analytics provider to estimate approximate location at country or city level.
- Device and browser information, such as browser type and version, operating system, screen size and language preference.
- Usage information, such as which pages you view, how long you stay, which links you follow, and the page or search that brought you here.
- Server and security logs held at the network edge, used to detect attacks and to keep the site online.
5. Google services and what they mean for your data
This section is the disclosure required of publishers who use Google products.
We use Google products and services on this site, and as a consequence of that use, data about your visit is collected, shared with Google, and used as described below and in Google’s own policies. This includes the use of cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, IP addresses and similar identifiers to collect information.
Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons or your IP address, to collect information as a result of the services running on this site.

5.1 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, connected through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand which content is useful and how readers find it. It sets cookies in your browser (typically named _ga and _ga_<identifier>) which distinguish one visitor from another. It processes your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view.
We use this data in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any other data to do so. You can opt out across all sites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies as described in section 7.
5.2 Google Search Console
We use Search Console to see which search queries lead to this site. It reports aggregated, anonymised query and click data. It does not identify individual visitors.
5.3 Google Reader Revenue Manager
Where reader contributions, subscriptions, gated content, registration or newsletter signup are offered, they are provided through Google Reader Revenue Manager. When you use one of these features:
- You authenticate with your Google Account. Google shares limited information with us, typically your email address, an account identifier, and your entitlement status, meaning whether you have an active subscription or have contributed.
- Payment is processed entirely by Google. Card numbers, bank details and other payment credentials are collected and held by Google, not by us. We never receive or store them.
- Google may set cookies or use similar technologies to remember your entitlement so that gated content opens without asking you to sign in repeatedly.
- Subscription management, including cancellation, happens in Google’s systems. Data you provide there is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policy.
We use the information Google shares with us only to deliver what you signed up for: granting access to content you paid for, sending the emails you requested, providing support, and keeping basic records of transactions.
6. Other services we rely on

These providers act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
7. Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. This site uses the following categories:

7.1 Your analytics choice
We ask before analytics cookies are used, through a banner at the bottom of the page. Your choice is stored in a cookie named _iq_consent for 180 days and applies across the site.
Because we serve cached pages, the instruction is applied through Google Consent Mode rather than by withholding the script: the analytics tag loads but is told whether it may store anything.
How the default behaves before you choose depends on where you are:
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: analytics storage is denied until you accept. Nothing is stored if you ignore the banner.
- Everywhere else: analytics storage is allowed by default, and rejecting turns it off immediately and for future visits.
You can change your mind at any time: If JavaScript is disabled, delete the _iq_consent cookie or block cookies in your browser instead.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Advertising storage is set to denied at all times, regardless of your choice.
8. Why we are allowed to process your data
For readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, our legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR are:
- Consent, for analytics cookies and for newsletter emails. Analytics consent is collected through the banner described in section 7.1, and you may withdraw it there at any time.
- Performance of a contract, for delivering a subscription or the access a payment entitles you to.
- Legitimate interests, for keeping the site secure and available, and for handling enquiries you send us. We balance this against your rights and use the minimum data needed.
- Legal obligation, for retaining transaction records where the law requires it.
9. How long we keep data
- Analytics: retained according to the Google Analytics retention setting for the property, after which it is deleted or aggregated by Google.
- Contact enquiries: kept while we handle the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Subscription and contribution records: kept for as long as needed to provide access and to meet accounting and legal record-keeping duties.
- Server and security logs: short retention periods set by the hosting and edge providers.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United Arab Emirates. The providers we use, including Google and Cloudflare, operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those providers rely on their own safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and applicable data privacy frameworks.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data deleted.
- Restrict or object to processing, including profiling.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Complain to your data protection authority.
If you are in California, you also have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA.
To exercise any right, use the contact form. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
For data held by Google as part of your Google Account, including payment records, use the privacy controls in your Google Account, since we cannot access or delete that data on your behalf.
12. Children
This site is intended for a professional and adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, sits behind a security and bot protection layer, and is kept up to date. Access to the administration interface is restricted to the site operator. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the data involved. Because payment data never reaches our systems, a compromise of this site would not expose your card details.
14. Links to other sites
Articles link to documentation, repositories and other external resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. Please read the policy of any site you visit.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will make that clear on the site.
